Dear Neighbors,
Over the past several days, the WPNA Board and events team have been carefully monitoring forecasts, coordinating with vendors, and exploring every backup option (including nearby indoor spaces) to keep tomorrow’s annual block party on track.
Unfortunately, unavoidable rain bands from Hurricane Isaias leave us with unsafe conditions, vendor constraints, and wet equipment return restrictions. After exhausting all possibilities, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s block party.
While there is no single rain date, we are not letting our hard work wash away. Instead, we are officially pivoting to a series of pop-up driveway events over the coming months featuring our amazing local vendors and sponsors! Keep an eye on your inbox for upcoming dates and details.
A massive thank you to our small but mighty Events Team and WPNA Board for months of tireless planning. We are heartbroken to make this call, but we are so excited to gather with you all very soon at our pop-ups. 💚
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe this weekend!
Warmly,
The WPNA Board & Events Team
