The Windsor Park Neighborhood Association recently submitted a grant application to the city of Charlotte for the Neighborhood Matching Grants Program…….and guess what?!?!?
We have been awarded $25,000 to make our neighborhood an even better place to live, work, and play!
Thanks to our amazing neighbors, we received an unanimous vote of YES from the Neighborhood Matching Grants Committee. The funds will be used for neighborhood branding and the creation/installation of an entrance monument on Sudbury Road at Kilborne Drive.
It's important that the Windsor Park brand and signage accurately reflects our neighborhood and the people who live here. We'll be soliciting neighbor feedback and sharing details of the project through Facebook, quarterly in-person meetings, and the Word Around Windsor Park newsletter.
This project will take about a year to complete, but we can't wait to see the final result. Thank you again to everyone who helped make this happen!
In more news….WPNA is eligible to apply for the NMG Program on an annual basis. Yes! That means, we could receive this grant funding again next year!!! If you have a project idea that requires grant funding, please join the Windsor Park Grant Committee- email@example.com and let’s continue to work together to make our neighborhood even better!
